AccessSTL is a student club at Washington University in St. Louis addressing equity challenges in transit and urbanism.
Since our kickoff in 2022, we've focused on issues like bus frequencies, pedestrian safety, and housing-for-all solutions. Our programming involves field trips, hands-on learning, and multimedia projects with partners like Campus Life and Gephardt Institute. We've also contributed to publications such as Remake (WashU English department's premier first-year writing journal), StudLife (our student newspaper), and city town halls to raise awareness.
Breaking ground as one of the first student-led urbanist/transit college clubs in the U.S., we've ignited a ripple effect, inspiring other campuses to establish their own chapters. Our impactful collaborations include partnerships with Citizens of Modern Transit, NextSTL, and more.
We welcome all majors and urbanists, from the seasoned and to the newly curious. Join us today and help reshape urbanist advocacy!
